Coffee M Stable Cheongdam

Coffee M Stable opened in Cheongdam in 2015 under a company whose own registered name translates to Third Wave Coffee, and the flagship still carries that seriousness. Weathered plaster walls, a leather banquette and a steel framed window onto a glass covered plant terrace give the room an industrial greenhouse feel, while a McIntosh amplifier and a pair of B&W speakers play through the space instead of a background playlist.

The bean list runs through a rotating Panama Geisha and Panama Pacamara alongside two house blends built for milk drinks and black coffee, plus a seasonal Hawaii Kona when it is in season. Hand drip is brewed to order at a marble topped bar, and the quiet, slow paced room gets singled out by regulars as a place to park a laptop for a few hours over a single cup.
