Choiga Coffee traces back to 2008 and the family's original roasting cafe near Konkuk University, run by Choi Im won and now carried on by a second generation across several addresses in the neighborhood. Choiga Coffee Hall, the third of those spaces, sits on a basement level along Konkuk Food Street, an open wood panelled room built around a wall of glass Dutch coffee drippers that customers can watch drip by drip.

Dutch, or cold drip, coffee is the house specialty, bottled on site after hours of slow extraction, alongside hand drip and espresso drinks and a rotating lineup of retail beans that has included an Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha and a washed Colombia Gesha. The space is run day to day by the founder's second son, who posts the shop's roasting and bottling process under its own account rather than treating it as a satellite of the original Konkuk store, which has since closed.
