Push Pull on Union

Push Pull on Union is the Seattle outpost of a Portland roaster that began in 2012 with coffee roasted in a home apartment and opened its first cafe on Southeast Stark Street in 2018. The company took over the former Union Coffee and Wine space in the Central District in September 2022, and the room on East Union Street was its first Seattle shop, with an old school television and a brown couch.
Push Pull has built its reputation on naturals, honeys, anaerobics and the most experimental and fruity coffees its buyer can find, after early customers who tried natural process coffees kept coming back for more of the fruity cups. Current releases include an anaerobic natural from Peru and a Colombian thermal shock lot. The Seattle shop opens daily at eight and closes at six, or at three on Sundays.
