Hello Em Việt Coffee & Roastery

The Hello Em interior with a woven pendant lamp over a feature wall of Little Saigon history and a map of Vietnamese coffee regions

Hello Em is a micro roastery and cafe in Little Saigon that roasts every batch weekly on site on a Stronghold S9 roaster. The room shares its space with Little Saigon Creative, run by the neighborhood nonprofit Friends of Little Saigon, so a wall of neighborhood history and a map of Vietnamese coffee growing sit beside the coffee bar under a woven pendant lamp.

The house focus is single origin fine robusta from Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam, roasted dark as the Anh line for bold espresso and iced drinks such as ca phe sua da, the condensed milk classic. A lighter Em line uses specialty arabica from rotating countries for a smooth, balanced, fruity cup. Egg cream coffee and torched egg coffee are on the menu, bags of beans can be taken home, and the doors are open daily from eight to four.
