Caffe Vita Capitol Hill

Caffe Vita's flagship at 1005 East Pike Street is both cafe and roastery, set in the middle of Capitol Hill's nightlife and its busy mix of residents, with vintage German Probat roasters working in view of the counter. The company has been independent and locally owned since 1995, and the beans for the counter are roasted here on site.

Coffees are hand roasted to order in small batches on vintage German machines and built on direct trade partnerships with farmers. The lineup runs from named blends such as Theo Blend and Nor'Wester to single origins and a cold espresso extraction called Vita Cold Shot. The cafe is open every day from seven in the morning until seven at night.
