Anchorhead Coffee Capitol Hill

The long brick and timber room of Anchorhead Coffee on Capitol Hill with wood tables, hanging globe lamps and a hex tiled bar

Anchorhead's Capitol Hill cafe on 12th Avenue is a long, dark room of exposed brick, timber posts and wood tables, lit by hanging globe lamps and softened by trailing plants along a hex tiled bar. It is the roaster's biggest stage for visitors, with a private class that teaches milk steaming and latte pouring and a back space that hosts small and medium events.

Anchorhead roasts to order in Seattle and builds its menu around its flagship Leviathan espresso blend, seventy percent natural Ethiopia Guji and thirty percent washed Brazil, sweet and balanced for every cup. Bags of freshly roasted coffee line the shelves for the walk home. The cafe is open seven days a week, starting at seven on weekdays and at eight on weekends.
