Kawa

Kawa spreads across 110 square meters in the hilly Mejtas neighborhood, roomier inside than the street front suggests and backed by a large garden terrace that looks out over the hill below. The design mixes rustic wood with modern touches, a deliberate step away from the stark third wave bar look that dominates elsewhere in the city.
Specialty coffee sourced from small producers and microlots anchors the daytime menu, while cocktails, wine and beer take over as the room shifts into a live music venue some evenings. The relaxed, roomier feel is as much a draw as the flat white itself.
