Coffee Culture Coffee Roasters, known as CCCR, is one of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Santiago, and its La Paz café carries the same standard from the original Maipú shop into Independencia. The counter sits in a pale blue shipping container inside the Laboratorio Ciudadano La Paz, with a high wooden bar, metal stools and a warm, bright feel for a quiet coffee break.

CCCR roasts to order every week and works only with coffees scoring 80 points or more in the cup, with a stated goal of moving every lot to direct trade so that the farmer sets the price. The range runs from Colombia, Costa Rica and Guatemala to Honduras and Rwanda, and you can take beans home as well as enjoy a cup here.
