The Coffee Movement Chinatown

The Coffee Movement began in 2016 in the back of a 1969 VW bus that delivered coffee experiences across San Francisco, and the Washington Street cafe in Chinatown is where it settled a few years later. The room is a bright white box with a pale tiled counter, a glass pastry case and a short menu board of filter, drip, espresso, piccolo, cappuccino and latte, with the bus itself parked outside in the company's own photos.
The company calls the cafe a community hub and coffee lab, and it works with a rotating lineup of roasters from around the world, with house coffee roasted by Saint Frank. The cafe opens at seven every morning, closing at two in the afternoon on weekdays and at four on weekends.
