Linea Caffe

Andrew Barnett, previously the founder of Ecco Caffè and a World Barista Championship judge, opened Linea in May 2013 with restaurateur Anthony Myint, building San Francisco's first CCOF certified organic coffee roastery. Regenerative and biodynamic sourcing runs through the buying program, and the roastery works Tuesdays and Thursdays with fast turnaround shipping to keep beans close to peak freshness.

The Mission cafe on 18th Street shares the brand with a second roastery and cafe on Potrero Hill's Mariposa Street, and the business reopened in 2023 after a period of restructuring, a detail worth knowing for anyone tracking its history rather than a sign of anything currently unstable.
