Grand Coffee OG

The Grand Coffee storefront at 2663 Mission Street with its red tiled base, an order and pick up window, a black A frame sign with the Grand Coffee logo and a bench beside a colourful mural

Grand Coffee's original cafe on Mission Street has been a neighborhood fixture since 2010, built on the idea that quality coffee should be a shared experience. The company describes it as the unofficial living room of the block, a place where artists, service workers, long time residents and newcomers end up on the same sidewalk, and the goal sixteen years on is simply to be somewhere people can show up and be part of the neighborhood.

Grand Coffee roasts and sells its own beans, with a lineup that includes La Llave, the Las Pilas espresso, Lights On, the Mild Child decaf and rotating single origins such as a Kenya lot, and it offers subscriptions for regular deliveries. A second Grand Coffee cafe sits a block away on Mission Street. This original one opens at seven on weekdays and at eight on weekends, closing at five.
