Andytown Coffee Roasters Roastery

The Taraval Street roastery is where Andytown does its roasting, a few blocks from the beach in the Outer Sunset. The storefront is lettered Roastery, Training Lab and Coffee Supply, and inside a small coffee bar sits beside shelves of brewing gear, grinders and greeting cards, so it works as a stop for beans and equipment as much as for a cup.

Andytown began in 2014 in a tiny space on Lawton Street, where the founders roasted, baked and served everything themselves, and the company has stayed rooted on the west side of the city. Its bakery draws on Northern Ireland, with soda farls, wheaten bread and scones. This branch opens at seven on weekdays and at eight on weekends, closing at three and four.
