Yipao Coffee

The University Heights shop of Yipao Coffee sits on Park Boulevard inside Kairoa Brewing Company, which the roaster describes as a neighborhood coffee stop serving extraordinary Colombian coffee made with care. The brand is named for the Jeeps that haul coffee and families through the Colombian mountains, and every bag it roasts in San Diego comes from Colombia.

The bar pours espresso, pour overs, lattes and cold brew, with frappes, tea and juices on the same menu, and the bags on the shelf include natural processed lots such as Pacamara, Red Wush Wush and a Blue Gesha from Tolima. Hours are shorter early in the week, with a seven o'clock opening every day, a two o'clock close from Monday to Thursday and a four o'clock close from Friday to Sunday.
