Shepherds Coffee Company

Inside Shepherds Coffee Company, the name in white capitals on a black painted wall above a long timber topped bar with a white grinder, stools and geometric wire pendant lamps

Shepherds Coffee Company began in 2020 as a catering only operation, two founders with a vision pouring espresso at events, and opened its first shop in El Cajon in 2021 before closing it a year later to reset. It now runs a specialty cafe on Imperial Avenue in Barrio Logan, at the corner of 25th Street, along with a direct trade roastery and a full service mobile coffee bar.

The cafe describes itself as a third place with outlets and room to think, and pulls a single origin house espresso for cortados, flat whites and lattes, alongside signature drinks such as Black Sheep with honey lavender syrup and a passionfruit tonic with espresso. Ceremonial grade matcha, cold lattes on tap for events and bottled lattes round out the offer, and the doors are open from eight to three, Monday to Saturday.
