Genteel Coffee Roasters

Genteel Coffee Roasters began as a mobile coffee unit and grew into a full service shop under owner Justin Esselstrom, who moved from an East Village location to University Avenue in North Park. It describes itself as a community focused place for handmade coffees and teas, with an aim of being a haven of peace for everyone who walks in.

Coffee is roasted every Wednesday and web orders are fulfilled the following Friday. A coffee club sends the roaster's choice in three styles, Offbeat for funky and fun lots, Vibrant for dynamic, clean cups with a full body, and Classic for smooth, balanced flavors, and the origins on the shelf have run from Mexico and Peru to Ethiopia, Thailand and Colombia. The cafe opens at seven every day.
