Boards N' Beans

Boards N' Beans is a small coffee counter in North Pacific Beach, on Turquoise Street a few blocks from the sand, that roasts its own small batch coffee in San Diego and packs it for sale. The name pairs the neighborhood's surfboards with the beans, and a stick of board wax sits at the till beside the espresso machine.

The lineup is built around espresso, single origin coffees and a matcha for the mornings when coffee is not the answer. Simple syrups are cooked down in house from real sugar with no gums, in eleven flavors, and are bottled to take home, while tees, hats and fleece carry the shop's name. The counter opens at six on weekdays and at seven on weekends.
