Sound Kitchen

Sound Kitchen pairs a high end headphone store with an espresso bar, a concept owner Michael spent six years developing after a research trip to Singapore to see how Zeppelin & Co ran a similar hybrid space. Espresso and pour overs come from Manhattan Coffee Roasters, founded locally by competition veterans Ben Morrow and Esther Maasdam, poured at a counter that sits at the front of the shop.
The real draw is what happens after the coffee: a listening room toward the back holds a rotating collection of high end gear from brands like Campfire, 64 Audio, and Hifiman, open for anyone to test while they finish their cup. It's a genuinely rare pairing, dial in an espresso, then dial in a pair of two thousand euro headphones, a short walk or quick subway ride from Kunsthal Rotterdam.
