Harvest Cafe & Bakery

Zjevaun Janga and his co founder first met in 2001 working under Michelin starred chef François Geurds, and years later, after building careers in Melbourne's hospitality scene, they returned to the city where they'd met to open Harvest in 2018. What began as a small venture on Glashaven, a stretch of Rotterdam named for its old glassworks, grew into a full cafe and bakery within a year.
Rather than settling on one house roaster, Harvest rotates a changing lineup that includes citymates Man Met Bril alongside Amsterdam's Friedhats, Aarhus' La Cabra, Seoul's Fritz Coffee Company, and Hunt Brothers from Norderstedt, plus the team's own Ripsnorter beans. A wall of windows looks out over the harbor, and a narrow door leads to a small pier set with bistro tables for anyone who wants their coffee with a view of the water.
