Grani, Farine e Caffè

Grani is a small neighborhood bakery in Monteverde Vecchio with a specialty coffee counter at its heart. Pastry chef Giorgia Roscioli opened it in early 2023 in a storefront that had stood empty for years, and everything is made by hand in house, from rolled laminated pastries to jams, biscuits, granola and focaccia. The house coffee is a natural Brazil from Blind Monkey, and the filter coffees change roast roughly every one to two months, so the counter keeps something new to taste through several brewing methods.

The room is small and intimate, and it sits on a leafy avenue in residential Monteverde, a quiet and rewarding stop west of Trastevere and the Janiculum hill.
