Kalve Coffee

Raimonds Selga and Gatis Zemanis founded Kalve in January 2019, and the roastery has since grown into a Baltic wide operation with locations across Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Paris, and Lisbon, this outpost set inside the historic Āgenskalna Market hall. Kalve roasts its own specialty grade beans in Latvia and describes itself as B Corp and Direct Trade certified, paying premium prices through direct relationships with farmers, producer organizations, and cooperatives, work that's earned the roastery a RoastMasters Award.

The Toffee espresso blend, named after painter Vilhelms Purvītis, anchors the espresso menu alongside single origin filter coffees like an Ethiopian Chelbesa. Brass counters, colorful retail tin displays, and rotating local art fill the market stall space, packaged in fully recyclable materials as part of a zero waste refill program across every Kalve location.
