Reykjavik Roasters

Reykjavik Roasters has poured coffee from this corner since 2008, one of the names credited with starting Iceland's specialty scene, and the original room grew so popular with people camped out over laptops that the shop eventually removed its own wifi to keep tables turning over. A second location roasts the beans at Brautarholt, and a third sits inside the Ásmundarsalur gallery space.

The Kárastígur room stays close to Hallgrímskirkja, drawing a steady mix of locals and travelers working through the same stretch of cafes on Frakkastígur. Beans are sold by the bag alongside the espresso and filter menu, and the shop runs kid friendly with vegan milk options.
