Porer

Porer opened as the first place in Pula built entirely around specialty coffee, a small counter tucked upstairs inside the covered market hall on Narodni trg, run by a couple who wanted the city center to have a proper cup within walking distance of the market stalls below. The beans come from The Barn in Berlin and Parlor Coffee Roasters in Brussels, rotating through single origin lots on espresso and filter rather than settling on one house blend.

The room itself is small and bright, glass and light wood looking down over the market floor, with a short menu that runs from flat white and cold brew to the occasional matcha for anyone skipping coffee that day. Laptops and dogs are both welcome, the market entrance means step free access, and the counter takes cards as easily as cash, a straightforward setup that has made it a regular stop for locals rather than only a tourist detour.
