Kavárna Pražírna

Kavárna Pražírna sits in a genuine brick vaulted cellar just off I.P. Pavlova, the kind of arched stone room Prague basements are famous for, with a small roasting machine parked right at the counter where a chalkboard names the single origin currently on batch brew and espresso. The house has been roasting its own beans on site long enough to be one of the more established names in Vinohrady's coffee scene, and the room still runs on that same setup, roast in the morning, serve it the same day.
Breakfast opens the kitchen, then toasts and sandwiches carry through the afternoon, alongside homemade lemonades, a small wine list and draft beer for anyone staying past coffee hours. A bakery on site sends people home with bread as often as beans, and the vaulted room, long enough to hold several distinct seating nooks under the brick arches, tends to fill with regulars working through a reusable cup or a paper and pen rather than a laptop.
