Father's Coffee Store

Father's began in Ostrava in 2018 after a single cup of espresso in 2013 changed how its founders thought about coffee, and the roastery built its name on knowing exactly where every lot comes from and talking directly with the farmers who grow it. The Bubeneč store opened years later, first as a private space for the partner cafes and baristas Father's supplies, somewhere to run cuppings and training sessions without driving back to Ostrava, before the team decided the room was too good to keep to themselves and opened it to anyone who wanted in.
It reads less like a normal cafe than a working showroom, an espresso bar pulling whatever is currently being roasted, batch and hand brew filter through a Solo dripper, and shelves of beans, drip bags and capsules to take home alongside the roastery's own merch. Regulars come as much to ask what changed in this month's lineup or get help dialing in a home grinder as to sit down, and the small seating area of armchairs and stools makes it just as easy to do both.
