EMA espresso bar

EMA espresso bar opened its first counter years before Prague's third wave scene had a name, and this location, tucked into the Masaryčka development by the Florenc bus terminal, keeps the same stripped down formula that made the brand a fixture. It runs as a genuine espresso bar rather than a cafe to settle into, a long counter, one long central table, grinders working through beans from its own roastery alongside guest microroasteries, and baristas who will talk through a bag of beans as readily as pull a shot.
Since April 2024 the bar has gone entirely paper cup free, serving everything in house ceramics or a customer's own vessel, a policy the whole EMA group now runs across its Prague locations. Bread, buns and pastries come from Alf and Bet, the group's own bakery and roastery near Palmovka, and the espresso and cortado are the drinks regulars keep coming back for. A handful of outdoor seats along the street catch the overflow at peak hours, when the line for a quick coffee before the bus terminal or a nearby office can run out the door.
