300km coffee and bakery

Jakub Zubatý spent fifteen years working for one of the world's largest coffee chains before he quit to open something of his own at the end of 2024, a decision his father answered with 'have you lost your mind' and his grandmother met by offering him one more dumpling. He named the place for the distance between Prague and Lipov, the South Moravian village his family comes from, and built the menu around his grandmother Anna's and mother Pavlína's own recipes, poppy seed, plum jam made from fruit off the family's own trees, curd cheese, and walnuts running through the pastry case.

The house espresso blend, a Coffeespot roast called Ta naša nekyselá, sits alongside retail bags from Hamburg's Playground Coffee, a relationship the shop is the only one in Prague to carry. Coffee comes out in double walled cups from Karlovy Vary porcelain maker G. Benedikt, set on green coasters, and folk art labels carry the same Moravian motifs onto the retail bags. A calm corner on Havlíčkovo náměstí, closer to a slice of Moravia dropped into Žižkov than a typical specialty counter.
