Slow Haste Coffee

Slow Haste is a daytime coffee bar built by four partners from Portland's east side cafe scene, and it works out of Collector, a Kerns cocktail bar, in the space the bar uses at night. The room is about eight hundred square feet with plenty of windows, hanging plants, wood surfaces, exposed plaster walls and a collection of art and framed oddities, aiming to feel lived in without feeling dusty.

A Synesso S200 espresso machine anchors the bar, with a pour over station of Fellow kettles and grinders beside it, and the coffee is roasted by Sunday Coffee Project, whose Regular Blend is the base of the espresso program. The team describes its approach as by Portland, for Portland. Slow Haste is open every day from seven in the morning until one in the afternoon.
