red e café roasters

red e café has served this corner of North Killingsworth Street every day since the spring of 2009, a roastery and cafe built by two cyclists who rode across the United States in 1996 and settled in Portland for its cafe culture. Their philosophy is simple: roast the highest quality coffee and have knowledgeable, passionate baristas serve it in a comfortable space.
The coffee is roasted in house, and the bags are sold as single origins such as El Salvador, Honduras, Ethiopia and Colombia lots, with subscriptions available online. The walls double as a gallery, and art openings and coffee events are announced through the cafe's newsletter. The doors open at seven in the morning and close at two in the afternoon, seven days a week, so it is a morning place first and foremost.
