Never Coffee Downtown

Never Coffee Lab opened its downtown outpost on Southwest 12th Avenue in 2019, a second home for the colorful coffee lab that started on Belmont, and the room has hosted disc jockeys as well as the usual stream of neighbors. Never sells its own house blends, with Bangarang, Flowers, Les Fauves and Cinder Cone among the favorites, and the espresso is the base for a long board of inventive lattes.

The downtown menu has its own signatures: Pop, a cherry, makrut lime and matcha latte, Yuzu and Salt with sansho pepper and burned sugar, and Hunny with flowering jasmine, dark chocolate and wildflower honey, alongside Oregon with Cascade hops and Midnight Oil with fennel seed and star anise. The shop is open from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon every day, one of a pair of Never cafes in the city.
