Never Coffee Belmont

Never Coffee Lab started on Southeast Belmont Street in Sunnyside, and this original shop is a small room that balances monochrome with pops of color and bills itself as a coffee lab. Never sells its own house blends, with Bangarang, Flowers, Les Fauves and Cinder Cone among the favorites, and the Belmont bar is the place to try its inventive signature lattes.

The Belmont list includes Hug with smoked chilies, cacao and cinnamon, Holy Grail with turmeric, ginger and orange blossom water under cherrywood smoked honey, Rich Kid with rose water, saffron and cardamom, Oregon with Cascade hops and dulce de leche, and Midnight Oil with fennel seed, star anise and black licorice. Picnic tables sit outside for sunny days, and the shop is open from seven in the morning until six in the evening.
