Mudd Works Roastery

Mudd Works Roastery roasts all of its coffees locally on Northeast Glisan Street on a vintage Sasa Samiac roaster, and its Montavilla cafe shares a building with Replicant Beer and Wine PDX and City Noise Records. The team calls its style new and old school, built on experience, an inquisitive mind and the belief that great coffee comes from the farmer and the roaster working together.

The cafe has more than sixty seats and a great patio, so there is room for friends, record shoppers and morning regulars alike. Whole beans roasted down the street are sold at the cafe and shipped across the country, and the doors are open every day of the week from seven in the morning until three in the afternoon, which makes it an easy early stop on the way through Montavilla.
