Futura Coffee Roasters Glisan

Futura Coffee Roasters fills a bright, fully remodeled corner of Northeast Glisan Street in Montavilla, about eleven hundred square feet with sculpted archways, high ceilings, abundant plants and a palette of ivory and beige, with petal like lampshades handmade in Colombia hanging over sandy clay tiles. The cafe is built around regenerative agriculture, and it is one of two Futura shops in Portland, the other in Arbor Lodge.
Sourcing runs through farm direct relationships, and the bar makes its own syrups for lattes. Bags of recent Uganda, Ethiopia and Colombia lots are sold to take home and shipped from the online shop. There is plenty of room to spread out at the tables, which makes the cafe an easy place to settle in with a laptop, and the doors open at seven every morning.
