The Family Coffee Roasters

The Family Coffee Roasters occupies a spot on Rayko Daskalov, the pedestrian street locals call Plovdiv's small main street, just south of the Kapana creative district. The espresso bar runs on high quality machines and pours coffee roasted on the premises, with beans that are inspected and sorted by hand before roasting to draw out their traceable origins. The room is small, warm and modern, built around the coffee itself rather than as a place to settle in with a laptop.

That last point is deliberate: there is no wifi here, and laptops are discouraged, which keeps the tables turning over for people who came to talk or simply drink a well made cup rather than work through a to do list. It draws a loyal crowd of Plovdiv coffee regulars alongside visitors following word of mouth recommendations, and stays open through the week with slightly later opening and earlier closing on weekends.
