Orient Coffee

Right on Republic Square, Orient Coffee has been roasting its own beans since 2002, making it one of the longest running names in Pilsen's coffee scene. A small retail counter facing the square sells the house roasts and brewing gear, while the café itself sits through a passage in a quiet inner courtyard, a contrast to the open square just outside.
The roastery works mainly with arabicas from Central and South America, including lots from Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama, turned into espresso and filter blends as well as arabica robusta mixes. A house specialty is coffee prepared the traditional way in a džezva, brewed slowly with water and a mix of spices, best paired with the cakes and pastries made on site.
