Moxie Coffee Co.

Moxie Coffee Co. opened in May 2021 on the ground floor of an apartment building at 16th Street and Highland Avenue, founded by Matt Heltzel as a micro roastery with a cafe attached. Its tagline is Uncommon Coffee, and the idea is to partner with producers who do extraordinary work and pass that sense of adventure and discovery on to the person holding the cup.

The cafe serves coffee, tea and pastries, and a bakery program added Nordic inspired breads and sweets. Bags of whole bean coffee, monthly subscriptions and brewing equipment are sold through the shop, and the doors are open every day from seven until five, which suits a slow morning in the neighborhood.
