Two Persons Coffee

The bright interior of Two Persons Coffee with a long pale wooden table, white box pendant lights, palms and plants in front of the glass door and a grinder on the counter

Two Persons Coffee opened in June 2018 inside the Bok Building, the former vocational school on South Ninth Street that now houses artists, makers and small food businesses. The cafe takes its name from a book published in 1922 by Edward Bok, the editor and author the building is named for, and it is entered from Dudley Street at the back of the building.

The room is a former tool shop, with plants, blue tiled walls and a few quiet nooks that soften the scale of the old school. The cafe was started to give tenants and the surrounding neighborhood a serious cup without a long walk and it pours coffee from several roasters. It is open every day from eight until four.
