Shot Tower Coffee

The interior of Shot Tower Coffee with exposed brick, a ceiling duct, globe pendant lamps, framed prints, a wall shelf and the pastry case and counter, with paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling

Shot Tower Coffee has been a corner fixture of Queen Village since 2010, when two baristas with roots at the Lambertville roastery Rojo's opened it on Christian Street. They set out to make something they could be proud of and that would become a part of daily life in the neighborhood, and the shop still serves Queen Village and neighboring Bella Vista.

It occupies a corner property on a quiet stretch of rowhouses, with large windows that fill the room with light, communal tables and a little patio seating outside. The counter serves espresso drinks and tea with a small pastry case, and the pace is calm enough that locals settle in for a morning or an afternoon. The shop opens at seven on weekdays and eight at weekends, and closes at half past four every day.
