Menagerie Coffee

Menagerie Coffee opened in 2013 as a small, locally operated specialty coffee shop, and its South 3rd Street cafe in Old City is where it began. It sits among the old brick buildings of one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, a short walk from the historic sites and the riverfront.

The coffee comes from two outside roasters, Dogwood Coffee and Elixr Coffee, and is served as espresso drinks, batch brew and pour overs, with a short menu of small eats. The cafe is a compact, unfussy place to stop between sights or on the way to work. It opens at seven on weekdays and eight at weekends, and stays open until the early evening on Fridays and Saturdays.
