Gryphon Coffee Co

Gryphon Coffee Co roasts its own coffee and serves it in cafes in Philadelphia and across the western suburbs, with the Kensington shop on West Oxford Street the one inside the city. The room is a bright corner space with tall windows, a rough wood counter, a long glass pastry case and a chalkboard menu behind the bar.

The drinks list runs from espresso, cortado, flat white and pour over to an espresso tonic, a nitro coffee on tap and a mazagran, with matcha, hojicha, golden milk and Yemeni chai for those who want something other than coffee. A changing set of single origins and an espresso blend are roasted for the cafes and sold as bags, and the pastry case turns over daily with croissants, beignets, scones and macarons.
