Blacklist Coffee Roasters

The black tiled counter and espresso bar at Blacklist's Welshpool roastery, framed award certificates on the wall and a barista working behind the machine

Welshpool is where Blacklist actually started, the original premises and base of operations behind everything the brand has grown into since, including the later Subiaco concept store and an outpost in Bali. Every batch that goes out under the Blacklist name is roasted, tasted and evaluated on site here first, in a working roastery rather than a polished retail space.

The shop up front keeps it simple, take-home bags for anyone stocking up alongside a straightforward takeaway coffee counter, plus a short list of toasties running from classic combinations to a few signature ones of their own. It closes early in the afternoon and keeps to weekdays only, more geared toward the surrounding industrial area's working week than a leisurely sit down.
