The HUSK

The HUSK opened in the Agia Sofia district as, by most accounts, Patras' first dedicated specialty coffee shop, built around a curated single origin list instead of the traditional Greek coffee that still fills most corners of the city. Regulars single out the fredo espresso as the drink worth the stop, alongside a straight run of espresso, filter and cold brew.

A narrow storefront on Doiranis Street opens onto outdoor tables that fill with laptops and dog leads through the day, the owners known for replying to nearly every comment personally, turning the feed into an ongoing conversation with the neighborhood. Open every day of the week from morning past dinner, it has become something of a reference point for the newer shops that followed it into Patras' small specialty scene.
