Loutsa Torréfacteur Bazeilles

A navy blue shopfront with a white awning reading Loutsa Torréfacteur, on Rue de Bazeilles at the foot of the Mouffetard neighbourhood, with roasting equipment visible through the window and a terrace of white metal tables on the pavement. Loutsa is a Lyon born roaster with shops in both cities, and its coffees are specialty grade, roasted light and to order, in singles and blends that are sold as beans in the web shop and in the boutiques.
The Bazeilles shop is the brand's rare Latin Quarter address, in a part of the 5th better known for students and market stalls than for roasters. Shelves behind the glass hold beans and brewing gear, and the shop opens at nine on weekdays and an hour later at the weekend, closing in the early evening.
