Long wooden communal tables and a terrace that looks up toward Sacré-Cœur set the tone here more than any single design flourish — an easygoing neighborhood room first, a coffee destination second. KB has been roasting since 2010, among the earlier wave of Paris roasters to treat sourcing and process as seriously as the big Nordic names, and bagged beans, subscriptions, and limited-run merchandise are sold both in-shop and through their own site. South Pigalle — known locally by the nickname SoPi — has built a reputation over the past decade as a kind of Brooklyn-in-Paris, all exposed brick, natural wine, and remote workers, and KB's terrace is one of the better vantage points for watching that reputation play out on a Saturday morning.

The terrace itself is specifically noted in local dog-friendly guides, if that matters for how you plan a visit; indoors is less clear. A second location, Back in Black, serves the 11th arrondissement under a separate identity and Instagram, worth knowing so the two don't get confused. South Pigalle's bobo reputation is on full display on a weekend morning, when every table holds a laptop, a croissant, and a flat white in roughly equal measure.
