Hexagone Café

Hexagone has held its corner of the 14th since 2015, which makes it one of the longer running specialty rooms on the Left Bank and still one of very few worth a detour there. Four partners run it, among them Stéphane Cataldi, named France's best roaster in 2010, whose coffee anchors the grinders alongside other French roasters, and pastry chef Yohan Kim, whose cheesecake is the thing regulars order without looking at the menu. Prices stay honest for Paris, an espresso well under three euros.
No laptops, and the room runs that way, a neighbourhood cafe in Plaisance rather than a co working space. Open from half eight on weekdays, later at weekends.
