Dose Batignolles

A corner café facing the Square des Batignolles, with its awnings reading café de quartier et torréfacteur and rattan chairs out on the pavement. This is the second Dose Family address, a roaster that began in 2013, and the single origin beans on the shelf, from Brazil, Ethiopia, Peru, Guatemala, Indonesia and Mexico, are roasted in Paris and sold across the counter.
Dose describes the room as a friendly place for families and groups of friends who still have sleepy eyes, with table service every day and a weekend brunch that is at its best when the terrace catches the sun. There is no wifi or dedicated workspace, a deliberate choice to keep the feel of a lively local café, and vegan and gluten free pastries are on the counter. It stays open until early evening, seven days a week.
