Coeur Coffee Roasters Montmartre

A small roaster's coffee shop on Rue Ravignan, the steep Montmartre street that climbs from Place des Abbesses towards Place Émile Goudeau, a few steps from the Bateau Lavoir. Coeur Coffee Roasters presents itself on Instagram as a French roasting champion and as open seven days a week, with a second address towards the Opéra, and the Montmartre shop is the one to head for on a walk through the hill's quieter corners.

The shop serves espresso and filter made with its own roasted coffee, and the Google listing carries a near perfect rating from several hundred visitors. It opens at eight on weekdays and at nine at the weekend, closing at six, so it is best for a morning stop before the crowds reach the Sacré Coeur.
