The Left Bank Bonjour Jacob stands on Rue Dauphine, a short walk from the Seine and Pont Neuf, behind a black steel framed glass front that shows shelves of books and magazines from the pavement. Like the canal side original it pairs specialty coffee with a wall of independent titles, more than two hundred in all across the group, and is aimed at people who want to read as much as they want to sip.

Coffees come from the house Canal Street Roaster and guest roasters. It opens at half past eight on weekdays and closes at six, an hour earlier than the canal branch, which suits a morning stop before the galleries of the Left Bank or a late afternoon pause on the way to the quais.
