Morettino Lab

Andrea Morettino, fourth generation of the Palermo roasting family founded in 1920, opened this cafe in December 2023 inside Palermo Marina Yachting on Molo Trapezoidale, right where the old city walls meet the water. A Giesen roaster sits behind the counter and turns out a rotating list of up to twenty origin selected coffees each week, pulled as espresso on a La Marzocco Modbar built into the bar or brewed through Moka, Chemex, V60, French press and AeroPress.

Beyond the counter the room works as a brunch spot by day and a coffee forward cocktail bar by evening, with tasting courses that pair coffee against Sicilian wine and oil. Tables spill onto a terrace facing the yacht club and the Cala harbor, a rare quiet corner of central Palermo away from the market crowds.
