Lille Oslo Kaffebrenneri

Lille Oslo Kaffebrenneri started as an offshoot of the donut bakery My Ugly Baby at Youngstorget, and became an independent roastery and cafe once that bakery closed in 2023, moving to its current spot at the south end of Markveien. The roasting itself happens in full view every Tuesday, small batches worked by hand against a backdrop of exposed brick and blue tile, with a green Diedrich drum doing the work.

Mendels supplies the pastries alongside the house roasted single origins, and a small, thoughtful wine and beer list turns the room from a morning coffee stop into a place people stay for through the evening on the three nights it runs late. A backyard behind the cafe gives Grünerløkka regulars somewhere to sit outside with a cortado, a beer, or food from the bar next door.
