Ult Coffee

Ult opened in Kyomachibori under Boram Um, who won the World Barista Championship in 2023, and the shop has since become the only Osaka name on the 2026 ranking of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops. The room is small and unfussy, closer to a coffee stand than a destination cafe, which puts the focus squarely on what is in the cup rather than the space around it.

The bean list splits between a competition series of ultra rare lots roasted with the same precision Um brings to championship routines, and a rotating set of microlots for anyone who wants to taste a single farm's terroir without the price tag of the rarest bags. A house espresso blend anchors the everyday menu, and drip bag boxes let regulars take the same coffee home.
